Casting the Net Podcast #003 - 24th of May 2006

with Sean FitzGerald & Stephan Ridgway

2006 Networks Project 'Start-up' teamFinally! What's rapidly becoming our "annual podcast"!

A combination of technical hitches and the fact that we've both been very busy has meant it's taken a lot longer for us to get this show out than we would have liked.

Synopsis:

Our first podcast for 2006! We introduce ourselves and talk about what we've been up to since the last podcast. We talk about our plans for the new revamped podcast. We attempt to explain what Web 2.0 is and describe some of its characteristics. We also talk a bit about the networked learning model and Connectivism. We finish up by mentioning some of the projects we will be involved in or hope to be involved in this year.
